Greater Oakridge Area Trail Stewards
In a groundbreaking effort to push trails forward in Oakridge, Oregon, the Greater Oakridge Area Trail Stewards (GOATS) and the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA) have banded together. IMBA and GOATS are now working more closely than ever for the good of trails and mountain bikers in cooperation with other trail users in the Oakridge area.
Join IMBA-GOATS and join the movement. The Oakridge area is one of IMBA’s first Ride Centers and GOATS will play a vital role in this program. Your support is critical in creating new exciting trail opportunities. As an IMBA-GOATS member you will receive special regional eNews and other great benefits. Most importantly, you will help the Oakridge area develop into a model trail community for yourself and fellow trail users across the Northwest and the Country.
Greater Oakridge Area Trail Stewards mission is to protect, create, and enhance quality trail experiences for mountain bikers in cooperation with other trail users in the Oakridge area. In addition, we actively promote responsible trail use, support volunteer trail work, assist land managers with trail management issues, and improve relations among all trail user groups.
Ibis donated a brand new 2011 Ibis Mojo SL frame to GOATS to raise funds a free kids skills clinic and mountain bike day. The drawing for the bike was be held at Greenwaters Park Saturday afternoon, the September 24th, during the awards ceremony and live music post FAT 55 race.
